HOT LIXX HULAHAN!
It was a great night for air guitar, ladies and gents. Satanicide got the crowd warmed up, and they were on fire by the time Bjorn (as Ozzy Airborne) and his air band (The Air Conditioners) took the stage to do an anti-war, air demonstration to "War Pigs."
I'm too hungover to write more than this right now. But it was amazing. Hats (and sombreros) off to William Ocean, the NYC champ, who blew away the house in the compulsory round by doing a flip on to a can of soda, crushing it with his back. He then got on the shoulders of a fan and rode through the crowd. This was only to be bettered by Hot Lixx, who ran up to the balcony to hang from the rafters and give a private, insane performance to the judges (including Sonyk-Rok, Vice founder Gavin McInnes and Jason Jones from the Daily show).

I'm so bummed that this was sold out. Sounds like a blast--of course. I was on Long Island all week and the joke is that I was actually in Manhattan for part of the day Thursday. So close yet so far.
At least I can dominate (and hopefully win) Norfolk's local championship this week! =)
